PACT - Parents and Children Together
At our meeting on Sunday 21st January we enjoyed a lively and interesting presentation from Sarah Hacker, the very committed and enthusiastic fundraiser for PACT. PACT supports vulnerable adults and children in three main ways.
PACT has been successfully involved in the adoption procedure and matching children with forever families since 1911. The support for adoptive families continues for as long as it is needed.
PACT runs Alana House in Reading. This award-winning community project provides a safe space and training for women facing multiple disadvantages. At Alana House, women are empowered to take control of their lives, make informed decisions and improve their life chances.
Bounce Back 4 Kids is a programme designed to support children (and their non-abusing parent) who are affected by domestic abuse. Therapeutic techniques help break cycles of domestic abuse, raise self-esteem and provide ways for children to explore and express their feelings safely.
